A Practice of Becoming
Six weeks. Six cards.
One practice of becoming.

Starting October 07.
Located in Ottawa, ON, Canada.

Over the coming six weeks, you’ll be invited to explore the practice of becoming through abstract watercolour, reflective journaling, and guided self-inquiry.
You don’t need to bring anything but yourself.

Each week, I will be gently guiding you through a different theme, inviting you to notice what is emerging within you, what you are carrying, what you are ready to release, and what is calling you forward. Through colour, image, words, and intuition, you’ll create your own oracle cards — one week at a time.

By the end of our journey, you will have created a 6-card personal oracle deck: a visual reflection of where you are, what you have discovered, and what is becoming possible.

Bring yourself, your lived experience and your words together with colour and abstract art. No prior experience with art required! You simply bring your curiosity and a willingness to listen inward.

About the Instructor: Kimberly Thomas

Kimberly Thomas is an artist, educator, and lifelong explorer of creativity, spirituality, and the natural world. Her creative practice is rooted in curiosity, connection, and the belief that making art can open doors to deeper ways of seeing ourselves and the world around us.

With experience teaching both adults and children, Kimberly brings a welcoming and intuitive approach to arts and crafts. She believes that creativity is not something reserved for those who consider themselves “artists,” but a natural human capacity that can be nurtured at any age. Her workshops invite participants to experiment, play, discover, and create without the pressure of getting things “right.” Whether working with paint, paper, found objects, photography, or other creative materials, Kimberly encourages people to trust their own ideas and allow the process to become part of the experience.

Her own spiritual path has taken many forms over the years. Rather than following a single tradition, Kimberly’s spirituality is varied, deeply personal, and continually unfolding. At its centre is a relationship with the Creator and a sense of wonder about the mystery, beauty, and interconnectedness of life. This openness informs both her art and her teaching, creating space for people of different beliefs—and for those who are still questioning—to explore their own creative and spiritual landscapes.

When she is not in the studio or sharing creativity with others, Kimberly is most often found outdoors with her camera. Nature is one of her greatest teachers and sources of inspiration. She is particularly drawn to the quiet details of the natural world—roots, rocks, changing shorelines, light, texture, and the marks left by time.

For Kimberly, art is ultimately a practice of paying attention: to what is within us, to what surrounds us, and to the possibilities that emerge when we allow ourselves to see differently.
